This beetle is my first personal project to learn Substance Painter. I modeled the beetle and environment in ZBrush. Rigging and Rendering were done with Maya and Arnold. I really enjoyed this project as it made me do things like rigging which I hadn't done in several years. The blurry woods in the extreme BG is an HDRI that I shot in Forrest Park using a Ricoh Theta V. I went with the depth of field look as something this small would be photographed with a macro lens like a Canon 100mm.
